The sea creates memories, and lingering regrets melt and flow across the canvas.

Work completed on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 1:15 PM to 2:30 PM. I've come back here again after just four days. Today, I set up my easel over on the right side, where the mountain casts its shadow. It’s a weekday, which makes it so wonderful. When will such happiness to paint like this at the tail end of April ever come again? Rapidly filling the canvas, I transfer memories that, once today passes, can never return. Starting work right away without a moment to rest—straight into it with the brush, go go. It was completed in just a little over an hour and a half. If I hadn't come here and painted in person like this, a corner of my heart would have been left with lingering regret and an inexplicable sense of heaviness. ... Memories of all kinds mix with the sound of pebbles rolling in the endlessly crashing waves and the thick, yearning texture of oil paints, melting away into the canvas. ... They say things have gotten a bit better now, but from my perspective, it doesn't feel all that different from before. The greatest difficulty, first of all, is economic hardship.
