A Strange Attraction That Keeps Pulling Me Back

Perhaps a place you never get tired of, even if you go every day.

Still, it might be even better to visit just once in a while. A place where, given the opportunity, I'd love to live for about three years. April 21, 2025 (Mon), 4:54 PM. I'm coming to Hakdong Beach several days in a row. Is there anywhere else like this that feels wonderful even when you visit every day?

With the endless horizon stretching out in front, the beautiful 565-meter-high Mt. Nojasan rising behind, and mountains embracing the sides like a crane's wings! In the distance, the windmill and the Windy Hill come into view. Beyond them lies Haegeumgang. Heading to the left leads to Gujora Beach... Geoje truly delights me with its beautiful beaches, clear skies, green mountains, and shores dotted with bizarre and fascinating rock formations.

The Windy Hill visible in the distance and the horizon at the end of the scenery are indescribably beautiful.

The distant peaks of Mt. Nojasan evoke an exotic atmosphere.

No matter how many times I look, I never get tired of it! A place that constantly draws sighs of awe! How on earth can the color of the water be this breathtakingly beautiful!

The more I look at it, the more beautiful it becomes.

Satisfying my hunger with seafood jjamppong at Hakdong Beach... Buying a canned coffee and walking endlessly along the pebble shore is wonderful, too. Or you can simply enjoy a moment of leisurely relaxation in the shade of a tree.

Hakdong Beach, where I can let go of all worries and lay everything down, is truly lovely. .

The sea creates memories, and lingering regrets melt and flow across the canvas.

Work completed on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 1:15 PM to 2:30 PM. I've come back here again after just four days. Today, I set up my easel over on the right side, where the mountain casts its shadow. It’s a weekday, which makes it so wonderful. When will such happiness to paint like this at the tail end of April ever come again? Rapidly filling the canvas, I transfer memories that, once today passes, can never return. Starting work right away without a moment to rest—straight into it with the brush, go go. It was completed in just a little over an hour and a half. If I hadn't come here and painted in person like this, a corner of my heart would have been left with lingering regret and an inexplicable sense of heaviness. ...
