Geoje Sinseondae Observatory Landscape

2025. 12. 11. 3:00 PM — took the canvas out from the car trunk and went straight to work.. go go.


A place where you can just pull over and instantly cleanse your eyes and feast on the scenery!

A place that brings healing no matter when you visit.

If you want to head down to the sea, you can park in the lot before reaching Dojangpo and walk down to Sinseondae Beach...

If you just want to comfortably take in the view from afar, this is the absolute best spot.



The distant view of Daesobyeongdo Island paired with the cobalt-blue sea is healing in its purest form.

As expected, starting so late in the day, combined with the seasonal traits of December and backlight, made painting extremely difficult. But if I don't even attempt to transfer this magnificent emotion onto canvas, then I am no artist!


Let's just paint the sea with the bright colors I've always dreamed of and paint it just as I feel...

Even though it's chilly...

Isn't this what being alive is all about?

I am happy to be able to express and share the infinite inspirations given by nature, even in this way.

Truly my favorite region... Geoje.

My Favorite: Myeongsa Beach August 26, 2025 (Tue) — Plein-air painting in the scorching heat With shallow waters, fine sand, gentle waves, and a decent view—above all, the shade and beauty of a large, majestic pine tree stretching its thick branches out toward the sea create an atmosphere and style that are truly beyond description. There is a wooden deck in the middle where you can get a great view of the entire landscape, which is wonderful. The large pine tree wooden platform is truly a stroke of genius. It is a place with its own unique charm... The scenery alone is absolute art. Someday, I want to stand right here fully equipped and paint the sunset landscape. Life as a Painter To be completely honest, it might be a life lived with economic poverty and social disdain. They say things have gotten a bit better now, but from my perspective, it doesn't feel all that different from before. The greatest difficulty, first of all, is economic hardship. In a world driven entirely by capitalist logic, living without money is essentially throwing your life away without any safety net.
