The Beginning of Autumn Amidst the Scorching Heat

The vibrant green of midsummer has burned away entirely in the heat of the scorching wave. Now, promising to return next year, the exhausted vitality of the green slowly fades into autumn colors, much like the fireworks of an endless festival losing their light.

Most life is the same. Close at hand, the plants and trees; far away, the stars twinkling in the night sky...

Everything that has life eventually fades and disappears after its prime.

Yet, rooted firmly in the earth, these plants and trees surrender themselves to the flow of grand nature across endless time, carrying on.

It is truly a source of awe and deep emotion.

The sight of them gathering together, quietly embracing the pond, always brings a sense of rest and peace.

The lush green of summer is wonderful, and the soft light of early autumn is just as lovely.

Today, I set up my easel over on the right side, where the mountain casts its shadow. It’s a weekday, which makes it so wonderful. When will such happiness to paint like this at the tail end of April ever come again? Rapidly filling the canvas, I transfer memories that, once today passes, can never return. Starting work right away without a moment to rest—straight into it with the brush, go go. It was completed in just a little over an hour and a half. If I hadn't come here and painted in person like this, a corner of my heart would have been left with lingering regret and an inexplicable sense of heaviness. ... My Favorite: Myeongsa Beach August 26, 2025 (Tue) — Plein-air painting in the scorching heat With shallow waters, fine sand, gentle waves, and a decent view—above all, the shade and beauty of a large, majestic pine tree stretching its thick branches out toward the sea create an atmosphere and style that are truly beyond description. There is a wooden deck in the middle where you can get a great view of the entire landscape, which is wonderful. The large pine tree wooden platform is truly a stroke of genius. It is a place with its own unique charm... The scenery alone is absolute art. Someday, I want to stand right here fully equipped and paint the sunset landscape. Life as a Painter To be completely honest, it might be a life lived with economic poverty and social disdain. They say things have gotten a bit better now, but from my perspective, it doesn't feel all that different from before. The greatest difficulty, first of all, is economic hardship. In a world driven entirely by capitalist logic, living without money is essentially throwing your life away without any safety net.
